Rough built my trailer bed sides last night, upgrading to lag bolts and washers today. Then mounting the roll tarp cover . She should be good for 1.1-1.2 cords
I've been in the market for a dump trailer for about a year now. In that time the price has gone up several thousand dollars . Kicking myself now for not spending the money long ago. But at this point I don't know if the price will ever go down. Is this an inflation crap a bubble or is it here to stay?
Welcome to FHC. You'll like it here. We like beer, dogs and pics. Lots of pics. We have a lot of very knowledgeable people who are willing to share that knowledge.
21' Tacoma TRD off-road + trailer package and a brake controller. She's a small rig but with 4 brakes on the trailer and tow mode engaged it actually tows great. Now the gas mileage on the other hand...never knew a small 6 cylinder could be that thirsty, 6-12 MPG!
Hard to say. Right now steel prices are twice, if not more than that of what they should be. I think it will go back down and return to normal. Labor will still be higher cost, but say least there won't be crazy raw material costs.
Thanks! I've been reading the forum for a few years now, it's a great resource and community! Also I like all of those things!
Welcome to FHC Joe’s Wood ! That's a nice sized trailer and while you don't like the mpg's towing it, you'll be fine. It's not like you have a 3 cord dump trailer.
Welcome Joe! Nice trailer. I just have a 4X8 utility trailer that can hold about 17-1800 lbs. It has served me well for many years now.
12 cu ft or so garden/lawn tractor utility dump trailer. Plus the bucket on the CUT. I don't have to go very far.
I think prices will moderate a bit at some point down the road (maybe) but I don't think they will return to January 2020 levels. I've had a 6'x10' aluminum dump trailer for a few years now, thinking of selling it, I just don't use it enough to justify it...I use my brothers little HD 5'x9' deck over trailer more than anything...kinda mulling over the idea of having a custom dumping deck-over with fold down/removable sides built by a local trailer builder. Basically a dump trailer, but with a little more rear overhang than normal.
No trailer here but like your set up. I use my F150 with an 8' bed. Welcome to the FHC Joe’s Wood Great to have you!
We used to use our pick up bed and a 6 horse trailer. The horse trailer was nice since it was low to the ground to load.
