Those days are usually no shirt days for me. I hate sweated up shirts sticking to me. At most, it will be a tank top. Regarding ear protection, I used my Husqvarna helmet for weed whacking earlier this summer. Way too hot with the earmuffs on. I just got a set of noise cancelling wireless earbuds, and they work VERY well for mowing and weed whacking. 40db of noise cancellation so I can turn the music down even. Plus these buds don't look like there's cigarette butts in my ears like some wireless ear buds. So no sweating from wearing the ear buds in higher temperatures as well. It was 85° yesterday when I mowed.
One of my coworkers thought he was a rockstar(played bass in a band) got his locks wrapped up in a creeper. When he stood up the creeper was hanging from the side of his head!
I play a pretty mean air guitar, but just not around power equipment. Sometimes when i cough and its not tied up ive inhaled a lock or two.
Same dude got his hair caught in a drill with a long bit on it. Tore a chunk out the size of an index card!
Yikes! I remember freshman year in vocational school going through machine shop and they were very adamant about loose clothing and hair being tied up.
On the sweating front - 90*/90% here....push mowed 3/4 ac for 2h. 6 dew rags, 2 shirts and a boxers change....can't have the family jewels getting moldy.
Ida seemingly blew summer away and brought fall. It's 54 degrees at 7a. WooHoo! I just need some free time and I'll be firewood'n. No dripping wet cloths anymore.
I’m glad to be in the company of this group. I thought I am the only insane person who cut split and stack firewood at temperatures in the high eighties with matching humidity levels. Got soaking wet worked all morning changed into dry clothes ate dinner (dinner is lunch in the south). Went back out and finished firewood job then mowed the yard with the push mower. Took off soaked clothes and I swear it felt drier in the shower than it did outside. Ate supper (dinner in the south is Supper) Went to bed and slept like one of the logs I took apart.
