I think his area was spared as was mine but not 5 miles away they got hammered as a tornado touched down destroying several homes, trees, power lines, etc.. It's' pretty bad over in Mullica Hill, NJ and Mantua.
Knowing Dave I am sure he is! We periodically attend a church over in Mullica Hill, got an email they are doing cleanup tonight. However I keep getting county emails in work the next town over with updates, road closures and to stay off roads and let the emergency crews do their jobs. I'll call down there and see what's going on....
Hello, everything fine here, just heavy rain! not much wind, 25mph at best. Whale farts create more than what we got. Thank you for all concerned. The media usually blows it way out of proportion, although up around ReelFaster , they got some big hitters and (T) boomers! All we really had was a good lawn watering.
Here at Beach Haven we got a little bit of wind and some rain last night. Nothing to write home about. I was watching radar yesterday and I saw where parts of NJ west and north of us were getting pounded.
Jrider lives about 10mins from me and we got lucky. About 2-3" of rain and some wind. The worst part of the storms stayed west and north of us.
I watched the news close and wasn't worried about LBI and the coast. ReelFaster was much of my concern, hearing from him and watching where things hit, I knew he wasn't in much danger. I was wondering about you guy's though, I know your mid state.
I remember an old saying my Father told me many years ago. He was a Commercial fisherman as my whole family was for generations back to Ireland and England. He said; "when you're in a boat, you're at the top of the food chain, the minute your in the water, you go to the bottom of it!" It's so true. I've sailed to Block Island, the Vineyard, all up and down the Jersey and New England coast and seen Sharks 20+ ft long I was headed outside of Fishers Island/Connecticut once and saw a Tiger shark that was every bit of 25ft. I decided to open a Beer then because if I had ever sank in that water, he wasn't getting ALL my Beer! Oh, and it was 8am...

Yep as smokin piney said, our area was spared. Only 2” of rain at my place and 2.6” at my moms and virtually no wind. We got lucky
