    Unfortunately, it has had a troubled past.. 10Tanker went into development after evergreen started with the 747 and has been in continuous operation since it was approved by Cal Dept of Forestry. Unfortunately, the federal approval process appears to be tougher to get through. CA seems to have different algebra when it comes to the risk reward ratio. CA has led the way in using the super tankers as well as fighting fires with aircraft at night using night vision technology to take advantage of higher humidities and lower temperatures and wind speeds.. it has paid off for them.. what is needed is a long term management plan, depolitization and hazard fuel reduction.. one can dream…
