I'll finish with this; It's funny when something is said that someone doesn't like or don't believe, the POLITICAL card get's thrown! It must be political! I could say I hate stewed tomatoes and if others disagree, Somehow it be political. I brought another side and look at climate change and all of a sudden, IT'S Political! Some of you, grow the Freak UP! As I stated before, I didn't bring anything into this Political. (I) didn't get facts from some politician, nor did I listen to one side or another. I used FACTS! I didn't use propaganda, I didn't use scare tactics. The Sea levels here in our Harbor are still the same as they were in 1990, maybe 1/100 of an inch higher. A USGS SCIENTIST showed me and I have proof. I don't play well in the mud but for some of you who think I'm a Pig, well.... Oink, oink!

I guess I must have blocked all of the politically minded people on this thread. I just see WeldrDave talking to himself and skeeter posting cat pics. Carry on!

Ive got 2 cents, with the growing population i dont see how anyone can think we can continue dow this path, it would be a terrible thing if we cleaned up the environment.
I just want a better place for my kids and grandkids.
The source of the information can make it political even though the poster did not.

I was merely pointing out that one can usually find conflicting reports from different scientists.

I generally try to see who's funding the research to see which bias is in effect.

The tobacco industry had scores of research that denied a connection to cancer via smoking.

Other groups (American Lung Association) had scores of research that made a correlation.

I smoke, I might die of cancer, or could get hit by a bus.. who knows. Although I consider the odds of being hit by a bus to be extremely low.

As to the windmills, I've literally seen dozens if not 100+ turbine blades transported down I-86. I'd think those are being manufactured somewhere here in the US.

As to Timken bearings, perhaps you forgot what I do for a living. I am paid to disassemble bearings every day to compare the quality of Chinese and Indian made bearings vs US and other countries bearings.

The customers our company deals with order bearings in such large quantities, that they are always looking to cut costs, while not sacrificing quality.

One would be very hard pressed to find many commercial products (outside of governmental contracts that require US product) that are 100% US made. I'd likely estimate there are none.

It's the world we live in, even if not the one we'd prefer.

I missed any posts about the wind turbines, a lot of the blades were made in North Dakota at one time, I worked on wind turbines for 15 years before I retired, talk about misinformation, people will believe anything if they know nothing about the subject.
I think the tubes are welded here also but been a while since I have been involved.
It is a very good paying job for the young and strong.

I'm not aware of any Timken product coming from China, but have seen a lot from India, and France.

    As well as USA
