That’s why I just finished putting 8 ton of coal into my coal bin. Fossil fuels produce the best BTUs.

I wish I was an elementary school phys Ed teacher. The problem you ignore is the climate change crew are the worst polluters. Certain people fly his private jets to the climate change summits and is the only passenger. Is he not a hypocrite for doing such? The elite come up with this BS and people buy right into it while they do only what suits their needs. Yes you have many talking points and no proven facts. The earth is older than any recorded history but it does hold lots of history if you want to see it.

ditto…I’m out, never wrestle with a pig in the mud, you just get dirty and the pig enjoys it…it’s clear that Dave gets to play by his own set of rules

I find it interesting that this isn't considered a political thread, as it becomes obvious that it is.

    "Our" scientists say..
    Blah... Blah..

    While the other side says..
    "Our" scientists say..
    Blah.. Blah..

And MANY doctors, and studies found no correlation between smoking and Cancer.

Maybe there isn't... My father was thoroughly convinced that all cancers were caused by nuclear testing back in the day.
    Maybe he was right??

I will say this though.. I AM NOT a fan of gov't mandates.

I've seen many posts about people worrying about some "percieved" mandate that we all go to electric cars.

I've not heard that was a thing, but as I commute 7 miles to work, if they made an affordable electric car that can work year round in Western NY, I'd buy one.

I only need about 30+ mile range in case I need to do some shopping or such, not freeze my arse off in the winter months, and cost in the $10K range. after all.. if I could afford $40K for a vehicle, I'd likely be driving a new Camaro.

    Renewable energy...
Yep, if I could afford to set up a solar/microhydro system for our place, it would have been done.

Would that be better for the planet??
Sure, but most importantly I'd be non-reliant on the grid. I'm sure many in Texas can relate to that. Sorry to you Texans

I'm glad they figured out shale oil drilling practices, and the natural gas that accompanies.

I just wish they'd run the pipeline (here) and make it more efficient than trucking the stuff.

Those that oppose the use of fossil fuels are "cutting off their nose to spite their face" so to speak. A pipeline is the most efficient way to transport the product, with the least emissions.

We're never all gonna agree on everything.. never gonna happen.

I know people that petitioned against a windmill farm here.. "It would ruin the view".

    :wacky::loco: :crazy::wacky::loco: :crazy:

I see windmills, and I think it's great that the electricity produced is 100% American made and installed.
    :usa:

Yeah, I know.. they are bird cuisinarts, but I do believe cats kill more birds per yr than windmills.. no proof of such belief.

The world is changing, humans will adapt, or perish.. I likely won't see the end of the story, so I don't fret all that much.

Wrong! I have not put politics into this! You are welcome to bring what I have brought to the table, PROOF that man is the CLIMATE CHANGE culprit! He is not and I challenge anyone you or anyone to prove me wrong!

Wrong!!! My next door neighbor was a sales rep for Timken Bearings that are used in windmills! Worked there 25 years and retired FAT!!! Go research where Timken bearings are made! He was buying the from India and China for years! He also told me that the only parts that are made here in America for most of the windmills is the DAM Cement! Even the steel and Aluminum comes from over seas! If you care to speak with him, I'll be glad to ask him for some time and you can hear it for yourself!
