I’m not following you Eric, would you care to clarify? You said “nope” to my “can’t” statement. I would take that as meaning you do believe humans can have an effect on climate.

Science doesn’t lie, it’s the political spin put upon the science that makes things messy…you want to talk about vaccines and masks?

Those specks MULTIPLY!!! It goes from 1 speck to 100,000,000,000 in a day! That's like saying, if your shot with 1 bullet you may survive, maybe if your lucky, 3 bullets, but not a Billion, "Come on man"...

It's not a matter of if, it's when!!! Also, have you ever studied the Super Volcano under Yellow Stone National Park? Maybe you should give that a read, that is way OVERDO! And, could possibly Enilate 2/3 of the population of America!

Yes I have and it has nothing to do with this conversation…it’s not something any of us or our grandkids will witness or have to deal with. Geological time is on a whole different clock than what we’re talking about. And here’s some reading about it being “overdue”.

Is Yellowstone overdue for an eruption? When will Yellowstone erupt?

How do you know? Nobody predicted Mt. St. Helen, Not correctly anyway, not even close! J, even if we shut off EVERY car on the planet, NOTHING would change, Nothing. Volcanos are a huge destroyer of the ozone, but yet it comes back and has for millions of years! The Dinosaurs were here 450 million years! The Grand Canyon and most of the mid states were under water at one time, of Course the world is changing. Let me know when we're gonna ground 50,00 airliners in the world, millions and millions of luxury power boats, 50,000 ships that burn 100,000 to 250,000 gals of diesel a day, countless private planes, ATV's, BBQ grills, Lawn mowers, weed whackers and things people just could not give a SH!T about. This is just the tip of the Ice berg. Come on man, your smarter than this! Just stop 1 ship bringing goods from over seas and what happens? Prices go up! Now, shut them all down... People went INSANE because they couldn't get toilet paper, what the hell do you think will happen when they can't get anything else?

jrider , Let's be (realistic) here. You live in NJ, as I do. Now without any exaggeration there is about 50 landscaper companies just on a 10 mile area. All these companies rely on 1 thing and 1 thing only. GAS! Can you Imaging if they had to plug in their mowers daily and run them 8 straight hours? None of them would be in business! NONE of them!!! That's millions of dollars lost a year in this county alone. Now, just put that into perspective for the whole state. There is some REAL science for you as well as an economic lesson. Picture everything that has some sort of power and now we have to plug it in. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I worked in the Engineering world for years and years, ITS NOT FEASIBLE and won't be. We don't have the fuel source. So now let's look at building the Infrastructure for said use, what is that going to require??? Fuel operated machines, steels, plastics, semi-conductors, Insulators, parts from over seas because we can't build S#!T here, people, food, farmers, water, cement and this list goes on and on!

Hey, lets put alll these people out of work! See how many Trucks we can plug in...

There are over 500,000 trucking companies in the USA with over 15 1/2 million trucks on the road with 2,000,000 being tractor-trailers. 80% of these trucking companies are regarded as small businesses totaling 6 trucks or less.

How big is the trucking industry in the USA?
The trucking companies, warehouses, and private sector in the U.S. employ an estimated 8.9 million people employed in trucking-related jobs; nearly 3.5 million were truck drivers. Of this figure, UPS employs 60,000 workers and 9% are owner-operators. LTL shippers account for around 13.6 percent of America’s trucking sector.

How many trucks operate in the USA?
Estimates of 15.5 million trucks operate in the U.S. Of this figure 2 million are tractor-trailers.

How many truckers are there in the USA?
It is an estimated over 3.5 million truck drivers in the U.S. Of that one in nine are independent, a majority of which are owner-operators. Canada has in excess of 250,000 truck drivers.

How many trucking companies are there in the USA?
Estimates of 1.2 million companies in the U.S. Of that figure 97% operate 20 or fewer while 90% operate 6 or fewer trucks.

How many miles does the transportation industry transport in a year?
In 2006 the transportation industry logged 432.9 billion miles. Class 8 trucks accounted for 139.3 billion of those miles, up from 130.5 billion in 2005

What is the volume of goods transported by the trucking industry?
The United States economy depends on trucks to deliver nearly 70 percent of all freight transported annually in the U.S., accounting for $671 billion worth of manufactured and retail goods transported by truck in the U.S. alone. Add $295 billion in truck trade with Canada and $195.6 billion in truck trade with Mexico.
