Dang it’s hot and humid here today. Got some color on the pvc. Hope to get the rest of the deck down tomorrow and button things up this weekend. 67F755B1-D603-490A-965A-BBAAE235F08E.jpeg

So, there were fake shutters( in tough shape) on before but the boss says she likes it better without them. I kinda liked them.

What do folks think fake shutters or no?

Quite a ride for a little one. You did just fine...and so did she.

Beautiful! Is that some kind of duck in the water? Is it starting to warm up there? Wish we could bottle some up and send it to you. It has been hot here.

Either way is okay but I see no problem with fake shutters. Sort of dresses things up a bit.

I hope it was an adventure and not a nightmare for her.

I tend to lean toward shutters...but it looks fine without too...I left ours off when I replaced the siding on the garage a few years ago...

I used to like fake shutters, had then on the house before residing and the whole outside house remodeling.

We don't have them now and I think it looks better without them.

Went for a walk-run with my son early. Then spent about 6 hours in the cab of the L3540 off and on all day. Cutting weeds and light brush in the pastures for my wife’s spoiled ones. And moving some clay mixed with stone, that I had piled up, into some low spots in different areas of pasture and trails. Made some decent progress in the heat. Thankfully the air conditioning is working great! And the radio. There were many trips in and out of the cab and down to the ground separating rocks out before back dragging. One bottle of water in me already. Next is one cold beer. Time to relax.

Thanks Bill, she was afraid at first when she called me (of course I called transportation) but as they shuffled her from bus to bus she knew some older students she had gone to school with previously, so by the time she arrived she was in good spirits thankfully!!

Some wives defer to husbands taste, other couples go by wives taste. Depends. Personally if we needed shutters I'd like to have them functional-but we've never had them and likely never will. LOL pretty good thunderstorm outside as I type. But, if it came up, we are the defer to husbands taste (he has good taste, every office he ever designed from layout, function, down to the fabric & colors as well as the "addition" we put on our cabin came out GREAT).

Oh boy, she visited my mother a couple weeks ago (she's 74 and an awesome Grandma) and took her shopping for me ((I don't can't and we only have one store here-wallyworld)). Came back with a cropped faux leather jacket----. Ugggg, she's not even old enough for that either! But.....I still get to see my little girl when she's not "trying to grow up" for more years before backpacking in Europe with a boyfriend :) but all this is SO much younger than I recall.

The high school kids seem to be moving quicker than us Gen X'ers... That's for sure. I know a good number of kids that literally just graduated HS, dated 1-2 years and they are planning on getting married in 2 years or so. When I was in HS, nobody I knew of was thinking that. It was more like maybe find someone to marry in college, and even then don't rush the vow's.

Interesting, I read in the last few years many of the new generations were against marriage - period  . I too met husband in college and lived together before walking down the aisle-except, we were so in love we could have married during the 3 years of dating/living/engagement. Actually we planned a year later than we wed, but I went to a Bridal show and won the grand prize!!!! All the gift certificates expired in a year so we moved it up.
