I'd like to also say this! I don't know where in NJ you are, but I remember driving up the Garden State Parkway back in the early 80's and seeing HEAVY smog from about Toms River to the NJ-NY border at mile marker 172. You don't see that like you used to. We had family in Union we visited as a kid and it was almost unbearable with all the Crap going into the air, most of that is gone also. What people seem to forget is, Mother Nature scrubs her atmosphere and that old saying, "what goes up, must come down" is true. Remember the acid rain thing as was posted...

Actually.. We exported most all of the industry that caused major pollution to countries like China, Malaysia, Vietnam.

Those countries have no EPA to regulate pollution, part of the corporate cost saving initiatives, as well as cheap labor.

Yes I remember that. I also remember how dirty the ocean was back then too. And I’m in tabernacle which deems itself “the gateway to the pines.”

We were raised repairing/fixing items. Most our things use computer technology these days and it's over our heads and costs too much to repair compared to replacing =disposable. Very sad.

And spreading false stories about young girls is supposed to accomplish what exactly?

While looking this up, I found out that about 20 million trees are cut down each year for the production of chopsticks in China. Interesting. Small acts spread widely can make a big difference, or cause great harm.

And Blaming the American people and the WORLD for something she knows NOTHING about??? Hey, didn't some of you say if it's on the web, It MUST be true? I'm sure this can go the other way as well. Yes, I did research it. Were also worried about (Chopsticks) and trees instead of the forests that are burning that she has not had 1 thing to say about it! Why? It's NATURAL and has been doing it form MILLIONS of years! Why isn't she screaming for the firefighters to put it out?

It was a FALSE claim, However she has in the past called on the stopping of cutting trees and rain forests which gives out planet oxygen, little does she understand that letting to much growth and the ground base get thick with leaves and limbs are more of a hinderance than a help! Rotting wood gives off huge amounts of methane gas which goes where? UP!

Feel free to show us where we (I would assume that means me) indicate we're "more worried" about chopsticks than about burning forests.

I just figured since I was the only one who mentioned chopsticks, other than you Dave....

Have a great day, my friend. I'd enjoy meeting you someday, I bet we actually have a lot in common.

How about read this quote, Directly from NASA and my friend worked on this project for 5 years!
Wildfires have become common in the North. Because firefighting is so difficult in remote areas, many of these fires burn unchecked for months, throwing huge plumes of carbon into the atmosphere. A recent report found a nearly 10-fold increase in the number of large fires in the Arctic region over the last 50 years, and the total area burned by fires is increasing annually.

Organic carbon from plant and animal remains is preserved for millennia in frozen Arctic soil, too cold to decompose. Arctic soils known as permafrost contain more carbon than there is in Earth's atmosphere today. As the frozen landscape continues to thaw, the likelihood increases that not only fires but decomposition will create Arctic atmospheric emissions rivaling those of fossil fuels. The chemical form these emissions take — carbon dioxide or methane — will make a big difference in how much greenhouse warming they create.

    Maybe read some more!
