    summit box is 16000-41000 btu
    super box is 13000-38000

Interesting how close in output the two stoves are. Lots of overlap. Given the above, I would absolutely get the summit if it fits.

Note how none of this is a 100,000 btu stove!!! The manufacturer was full of poo.

Which is good, you had people buying 100,000 btu stoves and expecting the same performance as a 100k btu gas furnace.

The btu output ratings from the epa may not be perfect but they are the best we have and a huge step in the right direction.

Which even if the stove can do 100k BTU, that's peak, not hour after hour like a fossil fuel burner can do, although it would be unlikely that you'd ever need a furnace to run non stop, more like 15-20 minutes out of an hour (if its really cold, or you have poor insulation)...but people don't think this stuff through...that's why on the Kuuma site they try to explain why a 40k (which is the BTU they have always claimed) wood furnace can replace a 80-100k fossil fueled furnace.

Thank you very much for that information. That makes me feel better, in my case, as it doesn't look like I will be badly over sizing for my application, at all. When I compared the fire boxes with a tape measure, I just couldn't see how it would make that much difference, just maybe a little difference and I can control that, I think, easy enough with my wood management.
