Judging by your user name I am guessing you are a racer ? I have a hard time just sitting in the stands and watching , most of my time is spent in the pits helping with work between rounds. Hopefully I can finish my car over the winter and get back behind the wheel. Been out of the drivers seat for a couple years but really want to get back at it.
I spent the better part of my life at the tracks… from weekend racing, to NHRA Injected Nitro , IHRA top fuel, IHRA Alcohol funny car owner, to Cadillac and Corvette sports car racing…. I’ve done some traveling. my buddies still try and get me to go with his outlaw 632 class car… just can’t do it. Guess I’m burnt out.
That's a pretty impressive list you have there. You got me beat ! ; just a weekend warrior here but still enjoy it so I am going to ride the wave as long as I can. We do a lot of the outlaw 632 , 10.5 class and X275 around here.
Welcome. Huge race fan here engine builder by trade. Still building engines and 90% for drag racing. Currently in the process of building a blown injected altered for my own personal use. Glad to see someone else here that is into the same thing. Enjoy the stay!!
Thanks for the warm welcome!! How about some FORGED carbon fiber rods & pistons for that blown altered?? lol
Buy once, cry once!! Lol!! Tell us about your altered engine combination. I love altereds!! Did the bottom end on the "Gorlilla" AA/FA fuel altered way back in 1986-87.
Just a weekend brawler here and old school . 434 inch Small Block Chevy aluminum Dart Block , Brodix Heads , Blower Shop 8-71 with two fuel systems , Dry Sump oil system , Aluminum Rods ( sorry no carbon) All internal parts as good as I could get. Still working on so final odds and ends then off to the dyno. Hope to make 1200 by accident.
