And find the Neutral news source anywhere? But the article brought into perspective what "May" be causing climate change. We can all say a Flamingo is pink but if the WRONG news source say's so then it's wrong!!! Right?

There must be some common ground between the many different camps on this issue. Regardless of what you believe, do you think we can all agree it’s probably in everyone’s best interest to just generally try to pollute less as time goes on? I think that’s been the general trend since the space age anyway (at least in developed countries) Years ago acid rain was a huge problem and we seemed to have gotten that down to “acceptable” levels. Same thing with the ozone layer and regulating certain aerosols that were highly detrimental. After massive deforestation across the United States as it was expanding westward, we now have millions of acres of protected land where second or third growth forests are thriving. All is not doom and gloom.

Why try after many many unsuccessful attempts? It’s a slippery slope to begin with.

    Agreed.
    Pollution definitions have become political.
    IMHO
    CO2 is not pollution.
The "ozone hole" science is far from settled.
The agenda of those pushing these "doom and gloom" outlooks is 1984.

Exactly. Sad we cannot discuss many topic like adults without it becoming a slippery slope.

Cilantro tastes like tinfoil to me-literally like when you accidently get a bit of tinfoil in your mouth on a mercury filling nails on chalk board zing. I don't complain that others love cilantro.

Some people here even kinda like the smell of skunk. I don't fight to get the thread shut down. Yes there are many issues much more complex than my examples but if members here are not willing to use the "ignore member" or "ignore thread" option threads will continue to be locked. We are all adults here and know how to use discernment.

I admit to wasting thoughts, but sometimes you need to waste away to keep your sanity.:smoke:
I went to the "study" referenced in the article. Read the first 11 pages. The authors pulled together scientific papers on TSI and show how different data sets and different analysis of those datasets by different groups leads to different conclusions.
There point seems to be the science is not settled and more data is needed and it is premature to assume that the sun does or does not have a significant impact on climate overtime.

Absolutely! and of Course! Sadly, we are a disposable world! Everyone just look around your house and see whats made of plastic. Go look around and find out whats made in China or India or Japan etc. The Big picture is, China, Russia, India and several other Countries don't give a hoot what they do! Does that make it right, hell no but also in perspective, what you do isn't going to change the direction of a hurricane from a gnat fart! That's my point.

Those countries are doing what we did 60 years ago. Our air and water quality were horrible until the 70’s. Remember the Cuyahoga River fires? Yes the water had so much crap dumped in it that in caught fire multiple times and would burn for days. I’m glad we learned from that.

I agree! I've been to several countries and many are complete S#!T holes! I walked through several parts of Jamaica and other than at the resort areas, most of the country is a waist land! They just don't care! I could post pictures I took of what was once beautiful rivers FILLED with plastic bottles, trash and booze containers of every sort. I can't stand seeing our oceans polluted, :hair::headbang: I spent many, many years on the water to help fight it!
