I decided hot dogs were on order for supper tonight. So I got a variety of dogs going. Regular Dogs, Bacon Wrapped, and Cheese & Bacon Wrapped... Then I've got the Jap & Cheddar Dogs..... With baked Beans and Potato/onion saturated in butter (in tin foil). Of course with a Samual Adams Cherry Wheat.... It's going to a first tonight...
How many are you feeding with all those dogs! Looks good. Sure is a huge difference in the taste of different brands of hot dogs. I don't care for them when they are heavily salted. I like to top mine off with chili or kraut.
Good point about the different brands of hot dogs. My default mode for hot dogs has always been just the Ball Park beef franks. However, starting last summer, our local grocer started to carry Hebrew Nationals. I've got to say that, other than occasionally making a batch of venison or elk hot dogs, they're the best I've tried yet. As far as toppings, I keep it lazy and usually just go with ketchup, mustard and diced onions, although I do love the occasional chili dog with some grated cheese tossed on top now and then.
The only hotdog actually worth eating is a red hot dog from Maine. End of discussion. Couple different brands.. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/jordan-s-natural-casing-red-frankfurters-5-lbs/161466.ip http://bangordailynews.com/2012/08/...napper-hot-dogs-are-a-beloved-taste-of-maine/ My brother sent me a few lbs a while back. I think I ate almost a lb in a sitting. The Jap dog made me laugh though.
The big dogs were the jumbo jumbo's. They seem to be a good dog. I'll have to check for the Hebrew nationals...
I guess it was hotdog night huh? I had spagetti with kabasa and hotdogs in it. I don't buy hamburg too often, costs too much.
Youve got to try the Boars Head tough skin (natural casing) they are the best Youve got a nice looking spread there
