Little Leary to buy a used saw from someone I don’t know. Looks to be in good shape. Guy said I was welcome to start it. Figured I’d take my compression gauge with me too. Not really up to date on what the market would be calling for said saw. Does this seem like a reasonable deal? Thanks:handshake: AC838094-BEB3-4F8F-AFCA-6E27F97DC886.png

If the compression is good & the saw's a good runner, I'd bite. Saw prices are stupid right now.

Good saws. Basically just a big brother to a 346.
I’m not 100% certain on this, but I would say good compression would be in the 150 psi range

Seems like it should be a pretty good deal. I would start at $250 and see where you can meet on price. I really like my 357

I like mine too. If it’s as sound and runs as good as it looks, it’s a $350 saw.

Although I do think that is on the high side

About 180, with a gasket delete

Picked it up this morning:saw: An older fella wanting to go from 3 saws down to 2 saws. This was the largest saw of the three and he preferred to wield a smaller saw. Started right up!

I suck at that! Didn’t even try. Drove down his long drive and came to his pole barn first. House sat up on the hill. Door was open and he came walking out. Super friendly older guy. We chatted for a bit. Everything in barn was meticulous and orderly. Everything checked out on the saw. Gave him the $350 and left.  I figured there’s enough people out there screwing people wanting to do a meetup at some sketchy corner liquor store. Always seems like they have something to hide. Maybe I’ll go for a bit of a break on the next deal. This time didn’t seem like that time!

I do that a lot. If the price is fair enough I just pay it.

Seemed like a fair enough price as it was, but I usually got to try a little. Your gonna like that saw.
Nice score! Now go score some wood with it:saw:

I bought one of these new in ‘11. It would be the last to go if I had to start selling saws.

Before buying, I searched for 357xp and found your opinion on the saw from a previous thread. I figured, after reading that, that I’d better go ahead and pull the trigger:thumbs: Thanks Jason!
