On a recent trip to Montana this rock came home with me.

My uncle used it prop his screen door open. It is a dinosaur fossil. You can see the marrow. He found it on his ranch near Cut Bank Montana in the 50’s. At the bottom of a gully full of rattlesnakes. Is it a leg bone?
I was told to email some pics to UW Madison to get more answers.

T-Rex left femur. Male. 3 years, 2 months, 4 days old. Died on a Tuesday while facing NE after starvation due loss of vision in both eyes. Probably.

Based on the logic of this next meme, I'd have to say that what you found was either a giant's bone but more likely a sasquatch's bone.....:sherlock:

Looks a little dry rotted to me. I wouldn’t try to burn it unless it was life or death.

I was once called an expert and have been called a fossil many times. Does this qualify me as a fossil expert?

If you honestly think that is is a Dino. fossil you might want to try contacting the Peabody Museum in New Haven Ct.
They are into dinosaurs there and have a large display.
Currently they are doing a major overhaul there so much of their display is currently closed.

I have worked with some of the people there welding frames and supports for the displays there.
If you would like some contact information send me a PM and I will see who you might want to contact there for some help.

If it was I that had that, I would not let it out of my possession, period! Never know if it'll be confiscated ......
