No problem there. If it makes sense and produces results, it’s knowledge in my book. I might comment about grammar, but I keep my tie loose and never button the top button when I have to dress that way. F that.
Hi gang. I know it has been awhile. This is a temporary set up for now. With it this way, the fan will blow the exhaust out the door. I will have a small cart on my right for the splits and the bucked logs on the left. Remains to be seen how it will end up. Just thought I'd give a quick update.
This is where the wood is going to be stacked. Have 4bpallets down. As high as the 2nd horizontal board. Approximately 2.5 cords. Oh 18" splits.
I had to be a downer, but dad did not let us use an outside wall for material to lean against. Think it was from his childhood of the little round bales from Allis Chalmers being stacked and pushing barn walls out. Barn looks great. Thanks for the update!
No, it is a fair enough comment. I appreciate the advice. I didn't figure there would be much pressure on the ends, but I will rethink the ends. I'm sure I can put up some bracing that is tied to the posts rather than the exterior. Thanks
I'm glad you took it in the manner intended. A brand new barn and 15 years from now (which sounds like a lot but will be here in a blink of an eye) you don't want bowed walls. I am excited for you guys, a new empty barn must be an amazing achievement and inspiring time.
Just a little hint but you might be better served by placing that fan on the other side; that is, in front of the exhaust so it sucks the exhaust out. But it is worth a try either way.
Hey, brother. If you could put pallets on the ends, with a couple uprights, then, 2 boards across the top tying the ends together, will take alot of the stress off.
