Heat index is 113....dew point is 83. Nastiest day I can remember in a while. Burning electrons in the AC.

Nothing new to report here. Other than wildfire haze from the West Coast fires. Mid 50’s right now. Grillin some brats and having a cold one.

    Hope all is well! 7DD72273-7603-4AB6-BC76-C4280C9342AC.jpeg

54F @ 5A.M. Quite a change. A bit chilly outside this morning. Clear sky full of stars is impressive after all the hazy smokin hot weather of late. Enjoying it!

    Looks nice!

41f here right now. The 30's may be realized this morning.

(I just checked three different temp readings and took the lowest.)

44F Aug.14. Short warm season up that way for sure. Getting any leaf color up that way? Bet it is.

Here and there for the leaf color. There is a lot of yellow showing up in the ditches on those little low lying plants but their leaves always turn yellow very early. Heck, I've seen some of them begin turning in July some years!

Not so much on the maples. Only the occasional limb of color here and there. The kind of color that warns you to think ahead....

Finally I got some relief. Been travelling for a while and yesterday as I came west then north it really felt great to be back in the 70's. Was in the 60's by the time I got home. Funny that it was low 70's as I came through town but I glanced at the thermometer as I brought my suitcase in and it was 68. About 1 1/2 hours later it was 62. Was 53 when I got up this morning. Love it! The hottest I saw on the trip was 106 last Thursday. That may not have been official as it was the car thermometer and it was only for a short distance before it was back to 99.

Yeah. Most mornings from now on should be pretty good. We'll still have some hot spells but they should be shorter lived and keep getting shorter.

During the night I must of been moved to the Amazon jungle. Good grief! Weather app says 98% humidity but it's not raining. Yet.

Our humidity is at 93 % and the dew point is 72 F, I expect it to get worse.

Currently mid 70s and humid. Severe storms rolling through. Was a tormado watch, but that has expired. Heavy, heavy rains. Creek out back is raging! Many water rescues in the city. People trying to drive through flooded roadways. Its a mess.
