That would be many years worth of wood for me. Lots of work into that pile. Any idea how much you have there?

No idea, but deceptive, cause my trailer holds like 1.3 cords when not stacked. I just dumped a load and rolled it up with the loader and you can hardly tell. Pic with a little saw dust near end of pile is most recent after that 1.3 cord went in, other one is right before

OWB will eat about 95% of that pile, so not much splitting to do

You don't split rounds? You don't have to get to under 20% MC for the OWB?

My lean to is what I burn for the upcoming winter, that pile is for future winters. And I only split it until it can be picked up. Big chunks do better, but it’s not as fun loading them by hand if left too big

my lean to stuff is pretty dry by the time I fire up though, but probably not below 20%

With the forced draft the owb can get away with more but still work better with dry wood.

I don't think that model OWB is forced draft. Thats what nice about those...a simple functional design. :handshake:

No fan powered air, just and electronic damper, opens when water temp hits 170 and closes when it hits 180

amazing how fast you go from no visible flames to full fire when just that small opening is made by the damper

Yup, exactly what I though. I had three classics over the years. They are a great designed OWB! :handshake:

That's a nice looking pile of rounds! I wish I had that waiting for my OWB

Got one more trailer tonight, and split a pickup load for helper

Half pick up load to go and done. 40358376-A54E-47F1-9E54-13442ED41C99.jpeg 5F33D21F-B767-4752-B0FB-225AAAF1016D.jpeg

All done, it was four unstacked black trailer loads in the end
