My 6.4 Hemi 2500 with 4:10 gears got 16.5 hand calculated on my way home from picking it up. Absolutely terrible for a daily driver, but I have a company fuel card, so it doesn't hurt me. Haven't calculated fuel mileage since because it is always mixed driving, and because I don't really care what it costs to run it

    She's a thirsty bitch!

Nah, I trust him. After all, he has a dog in his profile pic. A criminal wouldn't do that. :handshake:

But, if someone happens to get thirsty on the trip, who am I to stop all the fun?

nothing lasts long here in the rust belt. does not help that the sheet metal is so thin - tin cans of veggies at the store are thicker. I have 131000+ on the clock for the escape. likely time to move on down the road before it starts to $10 and $20 me to death. ( inflation - used to be nickle and dime:hair:)

Uh yeah when I was looking at ram 1500's before getting my f150, I was only looking at 3.21 geared hemi's. Those 3.92 geared 1500's drop the mpg pretty good. They are not bad with the 3.21's. I can only imagine an even heavier truck with higher gears and bigger engine sucking the fuel. But as you mentioned, a company fuel card is a great equalizer.:)

WWW's work needs another truck by next spring. He'll likely shell out $$$$$ to replace the engine in the 2015 (?) F350 flatbed duelly. Just a few years ago when it blew it would have been newer used truck would be less than a new engine (from what I understand)

And instead of charging them, at all or after a couple of favors have been done, I just bargain with them for their time: hour for hour help me run the splitter or chuck wood at me for stacking. Or whatever else.

Lol. I'm sure you've seen how off the rails we can get here.;)

So, are you expecting to park it in a garage? If so, measure twice or 5 times.

What's the biggest thing you expect to tow?
