Dead Lombardy Poplars Downed Today

    A very good friend had three Lombardy Poplars at his house that needed to come down. I'll climb but not when they're this dead. Rented a lift from Home Depot and got to work. A day off from work well spent in my opinion. Too bad the wood was far to punky to burn. Had some video but it wouldn't load for some reason... maybe next time.

    Glad you rented a bucket. I don't cut trees and a woman, and even I wouldn't climb a Lombardy Poplar either, even a healthy one. Oh, and to post a video here it has to be loaded on youtube, then link the youtube addy.

    Looks like fun. How high could the lift go? Did they give you an oxygen tank for going up that high? You always did get up in the world! :rofl: :lol: Nicely done JPD! :thumbs:
    Did a picker job myself last year. Wouldnt mind doing more.

    The lift only went up 35ft so a working height of around 40ft. Only had to rent it for a half day so after tax it came to $267.00. I really liked that little lift!

    The one i used was the same height. I think it was only $150 for half day rental. Here's my thread.
