Got 2 hogs coming in the next couple weeks....just in time as we are about out of everything....just some oddball stuff left. Brined pork shanks cooking on the gas grill, powered by a SS bowl full of maple charcoal out of the OWB.
Last night was sous vide sirlion finished on the smoker @450° for a nice sear. Along with brussel sprouts, carrots and onions in cast iron with garlic and butter. Oh and of course jersey corn. And tonight was lasagna and some fried green tomatoes
Yup....peeps stopped by and brought sausages after work today...they know the pits usually hot and the beer is cold!!
After a couple of thick cut pork chops, didn't want the fire to go to waste. That's from a small butcher shop in Erie PA brought to me by a friend. The patties are breakfast sausage and the 2 links are Italian sausage. Tomorrow morning I'll microwave the a patty, not sure what to do with the Italian, never really cared for it. Maybe with enough tomato sauce, pasta and parmesan cheese....
To each his own but for me Italian sausages or bust !! (food sausage that is ) I know, I know. I left it wide open. Dammit, I did it again
I go through this thread daily usually and I swear I get fat'r just looking at these pictures!!! If only we could get every participant in this thread together and have a big giant FHC BBQ. So much AWESOME stuff in here, it's Incredible.
