Been the same here. Not good for getting in the pool, but I only do that a few times a year anyway. My daughter still wanted in the pool today... Mama put a stop to it.. Said it is to cold. Although the water temperature was warmer than the air temp by over 10° (84° water temp).

You could take a swim in Lake Michigan. According to the news, the water temp at Holland State Park was 43 this morning. The north wind upwelled a lot of cold water.

Water that temp will make something pucker, that's for sure.

My wife ran the stove two evenings ago. It was in the 60s outside and damp inside. So we had the stove going and the window open. Took the dampness out!

The only time I've had a fire in the summer was in August 2009 (the summer that never was). We had a rainy day where it didn't get out of the 50s. I scrounged up a bunch of wood scraps in the barn and made a fire to warm it up a bit. It's got to get pretty cold inside before I'll make a fire between June 1 and October 1.

Chilly and wet here this morning. Ran around this AM and closed all the winders. Got to wait out the rain before we can hit the lake.

save$, Those bacon pancakes should hit the spot this morning. ;)

Been a great summer here so far. According to the local metro area weathermen, July was tied for the third coldest July ever, and was also the 8th driest July every, or at least since they've been keeping records. Basically every day was highs in the mid to high 70's and very little rain. Just perfect weather. Rainy and cool today. I think I feel a nap coming on...

Kinda dead on my feet today. I was working in Traverse City yesterday afternoon. Didn't finish until 1:30 AM. Turns out the Traverse City film festival is this weekend and most rooms were booked. Stopped at a gas station, bought a Mountain Dew (which I hardly ever drink anymore) and made the drive home. Got home at 4 AM. A week from today I head Wisconsin for 5 days.

Today I'm sitting outside enjoying the decent August weather, looking at a few things I should do in the yard, not wanting to do them, and enjoying a couple cold ones. :drunk:

New Berlin, about halfway between Milwaukee and Waukesha. Really not too far from where I live in miles if that pesky thing called Lake Michigan wasn't in the way. :)

Instead I get to drive through one of my least favorite places in the USA to drive. Chicago. :( The trip there on Sunday shouldn't be too bad, but I'm not looking forward to the drive back home Friday afternoon.

Drier than a popcorn fart here. Way behind on rainfall and lotsa brown grass...

Fire danger signs here all say LOW, which is rare for CO. Not complaining (too much) but it was nice to see the sun. If winter brings as much moisture as summer did this is going to be a long one lol

If I wasn't going to be working 12+ hour days I'd take you up on that.

It's dry here too. I broke down and watered the backyard today for the first time this year. Only good thing is I'm back to my usual summer 'mow every two weeks' schedule instead of every 5 days like most of the summer has been.
