That looks sooo good! I had to make an emergency snack. Pretty unhealthy triple sausage Pattie with provolone on an everything bagel.

Here's an easy one-- what kind of yeast did you use for your root beer? I am hoping to make a simple dry cooking wine and a uber-sweet dessert wine (think moscoto di Asti or Stella Rosa) for my drinking pleasure.

I am curious about trying woods other than oak, haven't heard of anyone doing this. Anyway, need to get new bungs for my big carboys, new bubblers, racking cane, corks and yeast and I should be set.

That looks so perfect! Good also with honey and cinnamon. That pan is available on Amazon for$22.
I saw a good selection of cast iron cookwear at LL Bean, but I can't find cast iron on their web site.
Oh, no take out tonight. Wife actually gave me steak, corn on the cob, zucchini and salad. Also had blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

Honestly the alcohol level is so low it doesn't matter much. I used low foaming yeast which if I remember right was red star champagne yeast. Honestly you could use just about any and it should work fine though.

Champagne is what I was thinking-- a nice top fermenting yeast.
