Today's Haul From The Clearing Job.

Hats off to you for taking that on this time of year. Sure is steamy here.

 

It surely wasn't the best weather, but as you well know, you do what needs done.

Here too. Humidity is supposed to go down today, but a high of 88 predicted.

 

Here's my FHC Phd. Piled higher & deeper anyway. Current state of the log yard (s). And for reference, the almost perfect firewood weather.

 

Yep lol. The little tractor was still on the job, I stacked with Massey 44 Special. Can't see the forks on the bucket & they're really thick. I end up with that dirt issue, but it usually cleans off pretty easy when I move them. No more rain please!

 

Meanwhile somewhere in Georgia T.Jeff Veal is at you.

 

Yep, & that's fair play because I was laughing at him at Dennis's place a couple years back. It was mid 50's & I think I was in a tee shirt & he had on insulated flannel. There's a pic on here somewhere. He may not be acclimated to the cold, but he's sure a good man & friend!

 

I remember seeing the pics of the 2019 GTG. Id be in short sleeves as well. Yes, for sure great guy!

 

Wow, Adam, that is a huge job you are doing. Be careful in that heat, hope it will cool off for you some.
It hasn't been as hot this year, but still bad enough. I don't handle it like I used to either. We have a hickory and 2 oaks to clean up this week, so we'll see how that goes.
We did cut some this day, but we did have the fans running...

And Jeff.....well .....where he's from you can burst into flames if the ac goes out and doesn't he even run a kiln too ?

 

Ha! That wasn't even my saw lol. I think it was Cole's 460 that was just ported.
Kinda cool & damp that morning.

 

Thanks for finding those pics. I had some much fun, even if I did wear my thin coat. It was misting rain and upper 40's that day. Great memories

 

If my brother amateur cutter can work in tough conditions, I guess we can too. We did a grass cutting job this morning from 10:00-12:30, took a break, swapped trailers, loaded up saws and tractor and got to a hickory tree job at 4:00.
It was a big, bushy tree that had fell, a real PITA...we started cutting about 4:30, took us about 5 hrs to get a load cut and home...
It got STUPID HOT today, almost too much for me, plenty of water/ rest breaks...this was when we got home with the tractor about 10:00.
