All the rain was north of us. Hopefully we get a t storm this afternoon to get us some rain. We did get a quick heavy rain thursday night, and about a third of an inch of rain yesterday afternoon.

It's definitely been a hot summer so far. We've been to late Michigan and our local inland lakes quite a bit to cool off. Tomorrow will be another lake day on the boat.

My son was mowing and came in saying ZTR lost left drive. Oh crap, this is going to be expensive replacing pump and/or motor. Luckily it was just a ball joint on the actuator arm that failed. 2 zip ties later he is mowing again....new parts ordered.

Went to the dog park for 25 minutes after sharpening my mower blades. I was going to mow right after we got back from the dog park, but no. Too flipping hot. I'll wait until after 6pm. I just hope that the rain stays away. Otherwise I'll have screwed up timing. The storms that were to happen this afternoon all went well south of us.

Went to the dump early. Cut about 1/3 of the logs up. Got some blocks split up. And my firewood guy dropped the first five cord of better firewood off. Sweet. So my son and I stacked some of that as well. Worked off and on as it was fairly hot out there later in the afternoon. Then stopped for a long break for dinner since my wife made chicken tacos with all the good stuff. Then I mowed some grass nice and short until I broke my mower. Apparently had the deck a little TOO low! All in a days work on my days off.:picard:

Lawn mowed, looks good. We're definitely still in a drought here in southern Wisconsin.
Lol, yeah they just called, it's finally in stock. I think I'll wait now. Buying at the end of the season whether new or used will net me a better deal.

All I do on my days off is work on house projects, outside projects or other forms of working. What do people do with a day off, when they don't have any work to do? Must be a very boring time!

Sadly I have a whole lot more out of pocket in there than you do. I pay for everyone else to get those stimulus checks and child credits -and no, I don't make the big bucks.

Got rejected for the rebate too because the HSPF isn't high enough. It has one of the highest values out there - higher than the specific Mitsubishi system that another company said I'd get $600 back for. I don't know if the program raised that value from last season, but I'm sure there have been a whole lot of surprised people. That, or everyone else is rounding off the 9.5 (or less for Mitsubishi) to 10.0 to make it. I may just be too honest - IDK.

Yesterday, my neighbors were having the cap shingles on their garage replaced by a family members son who graduated tech school carpentry trade. Good kid, hard worker. He wasn't sure how to install cap shingles and struggled a bit. I went up to help him get it sorted, and he learned quite a bit.

I found out it was my neighbors birthday, so I grabbed a jar of our maple syrup for a small gift. We talked dogs, chickens, goats, gardens, etc. He offered up again the use of his tractor again to move the big cherry rounds and clear brush for a garden. Great neighbors to have.
