Most of the pictures are taken by my daughter in-law with her cell phone. I bought her an attachment that allows her to zoom in more and offers more opportunities for good pics.

I am officially impressed with the mini split system I had installed June 7 of this year. my June usage went down by 17%, but I was unwilling to use that as a guideline since I am unsure of the billing dates. But here is for July.

    July electrical Usage versus 2020.JPG

August of last year was brutal, with the majority of 90*+ plus days. With the window A/C in the office, and the portable A/C in the living room (and the bedrooms closed off) I had the highest electric bill I've ever had at ~$135. Plus, those two couldn't keep up when the sun started hitting the SW ans west sides of the house, so the living room and bathroom would get up to 78* with the units going as hard as they could. With the mini split I am able to keep the living room as well as the bedrooms cool.

Okay, sure, at saving $25 - $35 a month it would take about 21 years to recoup the cost of the mini split. But, the massive reduction in noise and being able to keep the entire main floor comfortable at all times is worth it - especially since I work from home.

I knew you would be impressed. I've never seen anything like them before. As for the cost, for, the recoup is nearly immediate. We used our stimulus check, and with the Maine rebate, we only have $100 out of pocket tied up in it.

Got .46 inches of rain this morning and it is miserable outside. High dew point with a high tempo in the 90's today and for the next 4 or 5 days. The average number of 90+ days per year is 17. As of yesterday we had already hit 20 and we are still counting. August is still coming up with more 90+ days.

Yesterday was grass mowing day. Today is weed cutting, cutting up some logs with the Echo CS680, and soon to be splitting with the American CLS.

Nice weather for it. Sun and clouds and 79 right now. Little warm, but not too bad.

Summer is moving much too fast for me. The weather is either too hot or too wet. Once in a while we have beautiful days. Wish those days would last. so many projects on the "round to-it list" Will be nice to to check off some of them.

I know what you mean savemoney . Way behind on firewood here. I’ll get this cut up and split and stacked. Just ordered 20 face cord of good hardwood all split. Hopefully he will deliver in the next two weeks. I have about 3.5-4 face cord of Beech leftover from last season to start this one off with.
