Go ahead and split some elm by hand and then tell me about noodling. I will noodle elm any day.

Split by hand ? Ha not for me !!
I beat my body up to much in my life already. I'm a machine junkie and I'm proud of it.

The three amigos have arrived !!
Never, ever, thought I'd be starting up chainsaws sitting in a mobility scooter.

first time I have ever seen the paint removed and the bar polished by the scabbard. 20210721_143145.jpg
    Also I wasn't expecting carbide chains !!

Are the chains original? I like the middle one

Pretty sure that they were set up with carbide in the beginning.

Thats right they were FD rescue saws. Maybe the "guard" for a rescue bar left those marks on the bars???

Same bar same scabbard as any saw. Just riding around in the truck box constantly bouncing.

Makes sense. I was thinking of a bar with the depth limiter seen on current stihl rescue saws

These aren't quite that bad but I was thinking about getting the tank protector/skid plate. Do you do anything to prevent or repair the wear ?

They all seem to be in the same condition so it doesn't matter to me.
Talked with the firemen and they said that they for the most part they stayed in the truck and that they were started regularly and fed canned gas.
They are pretty oily so I'm not sure what condition the mount rubber is in.
Start and run great and only were decommissioned because of a large upgrade project.
