We have a GE repair person coming this morning. The wal, mount oven just over 2yrs since new. This is the second time it's needed service. Grrr.

Torrential rain this morning. Forecasting 1-2” and I think we already got it. Good for the trees to get this rain in July. I have to go look at a few trees that came in a storm on Saturday.

 

Good morning everyone! A damp cool day, with temps in the 60's. The sweet corn is really juicy this year. We have yet to go blueberry and raspberry picking, the weather has gotten in the way.
I have to get to a small amount of uncut wood that I hoarded last year. Don't want it going punky with all this rain.
It will be a quiet day, after yesterday.

Morning All. Another day with mixed cloud and sun. No rain yet. Worked in the garden after we got back from firewood gathering and watching the Blue Jays win. I harvested my garlic with rather disappointing results. I have to work on enriching the soil in the garden.

Delivering a load of wood to Mom's this morning and while campinspecter is unloading it, I will be spraying moss killer on the garage roof. I should have thought of this a couple of weeks ago. We have had such dry weather.

Good afternoon! The monsoons have passed and summer is returning with mid-80s all week and no end to humidity. We got a deluge Saturday night but I'm slowly regaining my front yard and losing the ponds. Mowing will be dicey for a while. I managed to build a portable firewood rack from pallets to move with the skid steer on Saturday. Now I need to cut a bunch of rounds to move to the splitter. I already have the table staged with about a half cord. Evenings will be largely tied up this week but I plan to wash the car tonight and give my new foam cannon it's first try. I'm also going to build a rack next to the roadside stand to sell loose splits. Bundle sales dropped off (it's July, so...) and this may be a nice supplement to the overall sales strategy. OK, I just learned this myself.
First, you have to download the Tiktok app on your phone, create a username, etc.
Then, you have to follow kissimmeespecial, which is Brandon.
Next, go to the settings menu by clicking the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner (when you are on the "me" page).
Go to "push notifications".
Go to "live notification settings".
Find "kissimmeespecial" and click the bell icon on the right.
Select "Get all Live notifications"

If you do this, you should get a notification on your phone when Brandon goes live, which is generally around 6:30A, unless there is a hurricane.

Back to work after being off last week. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth taking off when I come back to a mess. I'll be short with help for at least the next 6 weeks. Coworker has heart surgery scheduled for tomorrow. My prayers for him
Did some splitting and stacking yesterday. It was cooler than it has been but still warm. Today the heat is back.

Taking mom and dad to visit an assisted living facility. Fingers crossed it all goes well.
