Hello Worked out great on this old GMG portable Davey Crockett. The new GMG portable is now called the Trek and has just arrived in our local warehouse. Set the grill for 250 Degs and let her rip for 3 hours with cut up onions, peppers, some brown sugar and 2 sticks of butter in a foil pan. Then throw the sausages and fill up with ale.
Yes. A little ale and Smokey flavor. The pellets are the food grade Green Mountain Grill gold blend pellets.
Looks good! We love sausage, peppers and onions in this house. I've done something similar to this but smoked the sausages on the grates for about 1.5-2hrs then put them the pan with the peppers and onions for another hr.
You grilled the sausages in with the smoke and veggies for 3hrs, then put them in with the veggies? However, that looks yummy.
You can grill the veggies separately if you want that char on the veggies. Just personal preference. This way is the no fuss way, just throw them all in for 3 hours and just turn the sausages once at the 1.5 hour mark. Easy Peasy
