Don't think I've ever seen a Deere chainsaw.
My curiosity isn't strong enough for the hour drive each way.

The box must be worth 50. Saw appears to be in good shape. Too bad it’s so far away for you.

I’m sure my grandfather’s still is. I think it was a 440. I thought it was awesome, because I had an old slow Polaris. His JD felt like a Cadillac compared my roach.

The Liquafire 440 was a decent sled in it's day.

Dad was good buddies with the JD dealer in our small town back in the 1970s. Had all sorts of JD stuff-pressure washer, salamander heaters, several snowmobiles, and my brother and I had JD 5 speed bicycles. He also had a 50v chainsaw.

My FIL had a JD sled in his lean to for years, not sure what happened to it. Pretty sure I’ve seen a JD chainsaw one of his sheds as well. Also had a JD electric power washer that didn’t work worth a crap, betting JD didn’t make that! JD was rebranding stuff for years, not sure if they do much anymore.

The liquifire was their hot sled. Nothing slow about Polaris or Suzuki's.

Since the 80's for Polaris sled's and zook bikes. Zuki has made a ton of powerful sled engines in Arctic Cat sleds from the 80's until 2013

JD snowmobiles from back in the spitfire and liquidfire days had Kawasaki engines I believe.

They were either kohler, Kawasaki, or kioritz. They were all over the place

In the early 80s our next door neighbor had two of the liquid fire sleds. A friend of mine has a John Deere CS81 saw, which is an efco 181.
