We do not. I could drive 10 miles to take those boxes to a city funded recycle facility. But no. Up in flames they go.

You are speaking my language. I do not like hot weather. It is far more disabling to me that well below zero cold.

High of 80 and an even mix of clouds and sun with typical Summer feel. Everything is pretty damp from the 6"+ of rain we got from tropical storm Elsa yesterday. The river below was the highest ive seen in 14+ years she has been here. It partly flooded the driveway down below. Our house is up on a hill so safe from flooding. Flash flood warnings yesterday in my county. Pic of river right next to my old processing area down below. The water is normally several feet below the bank and it was a foot from the top of it. It had receeded a bit when i took the pic. IMG_5317.JPG

Holy smokes!! That’s a lot of water! Any damage to your property from the storm, Brad?

67% humidity sent me back into the house before lunch. Cut up a pile of rounds yesterday, but splitting is going to have to wait. :dennis:

No. We got a trace of water in the corner of the storage room downstairs. The lower level is tiled with the rest being concrete so nothing really to get damaged. I had a box fan blowing in there for most of Friday.. Ill take another pic from the same POV to give you an idea of how high the water was.

Storm rolled through Friday night/Saturday morning with 80+MPH winds and a total of close to 2" rain by Saturday afternoon. Lost power until late this afternoon. Did fire up the Harbor Freight generator this morning, saying that this is loud is an understatement. Ended up taking 7 loads to the city free dump site (over an hour wait on one trip). Helped neighbors on our street and beat. Lots of people still need help, but don't see how I can save them all plus my normal job. Work van plus my ladder took a hit from a limb off our tree

Wow, that must have been quite a storm. Tons of insurance claims for sure.

You're not kidding. 190,000 customers without power and, as of last night, still close to 30,000 are still in the dark. At least it was in the mid-70's for highs. Today going to 90 so hope they can get power soon. Dump site we used was closed yesterday already due to it being out of room.

It now appears we will be going back into the 80's for a while; I hope only a short while. I see next week 2 days of 87 forecast for us. Bah...

Currently sitting at 76f with a high of 88 and some thunderstorms. Cooler tomorrow, but back to mid to upper 80's for the next ten days.

The forecast for today was numerous severe T-storms. We have had a little bit of rain and some lightning and thunder but nothing severe. The guess about damaging wind was just that, a guess. Didn't happen. Should be getting nice tomorrow and for the upcoming week with highs in the 80;s and getting close to 90. Any work outside I will have to do in the morning.
