056 magnum 2

anyone give me some information on beefing these saws up? or just any info in general

 

I'll bet huskihl could add some Extra Sausages to it

 

this saw is like what i assume cutting wood with a dirt bike would be like. she dont rev the fastest but its got all the torque

 

I'd look for an 8 tooth driver for more chain speed. That saw should have lots of torque. The one I ran was an absolute monster on a mill, just slow.

 

Electronics are the biggest problem on these saws. They came with 2 types. the Bosch and SEM. Parts are out there but getting harder to find. Other than a shorter bar I would just run it.

 

I have a super and can't imagine needing any mods.

 

...until you get the mods done.

Then you can't imagine running a stock saw.

 

That's what I'm afraid of!!

 

056 Mag is a beast. I have owned a couple of them. Heavy? Yes they are. Will pull a 36 inch bar in Douglas fir no problem. Torque monster saw that's at its best when it's being held up by a big tree that your bucking. Packing it up a steep hill is a chore.
