    Looks like red oak.
The bottom 2/3 looks nice but that top 1/3 looks like a LOT of cutting unless you can haul off larger pieces and save cutting/noodling for cooler weather.
Some people would bring those crotches to the dump. LOL

Well, I shifted gears due to this heat. It is a guy I used to work with that messaged me. He burns wood, so I may just buck this sucker up for him. Maybe take a load or two as payment.

Looks like 10-12’ of nice trunk wood and the stump cut. Lots of red squares in that. The clusterfack of a top isn’t worth cutting in the heat.

Yep, agreed. All those gnarly limb sections that don’t split fer chit stinks. Makes the uglies pile grow fast.

I don't understand the negative comments on the top. Cut those limbs to size as you work to the log. Buck up the log and done. Although working calves and clearing some brush and burning some brush I am on second pair of pants and fourth shirt and second towel in back pocket (went away from the shop rags, I get the old bathroom hand towels now!).

I'm too old to work all day in this heat. I quit after 8 hours.:smoke:

That is a biggun. I wouldnt touch it in this heat. Never have fared well in the hot weather. Prefer the cold. I have so much to SS now and have a few scores waiting.

How soon do you have to get it cut Jason?

Quick question. Do you ever cut any normal size trees or just wait for the behemoths?
