Congrats my friend....I imagine this is the best feeling in the world!! Happy for you and your family!

Sad thing here is my mortgage payment is low, but my tax is close to equal to my mortgage payment!

Thanks...yeah I'm still getting used to the idea...might take a few months to really sink in!
Payment wasn't equal to the escrow, but it was getting there! Had a huge jump in taxes this last year...danged thieves.

Same here. Big jump in assessments, but no drop in rates. We pay quarterlies so it will be interesting if there will be an adjustment to the last quarterly because this is quite a revenue increase otherwise. Ain't getting no 30% increase in social security for this. My dividends are supposed to be for life and living enhancements, not taxes. LOL. :makeitrain"

Beautiful. I'll never forget when we wintered west of Yuma, AZ. Occasionally one or two would fly over us quite low. They wintered near El Centro, CA so we went to a show they put on in the spring. Beautiful.

Being single, having a small house, propane for DHW and almost all lights being LED, my electric bills are low compared to most people. Last year my highest bill was ~$135. Gotta love that Delivery charges are twice as much as the electricity itself.

Another day of dismal weather so far. A little attic work later today, probably no yard work again with the drizzle. I found the manual for the radial arm saw in the barn, so I can get the few missing bolts and get that operational again. Just a tinkering around day I believe.

These two bucks were bedded down at the edge of the woods early this morning, and stopped for a quick look. Holly barked, and off they went into the thick brush.

Finally, we got a good rain. The unfortunate part was it was for three days of the h0liday weekend. Today the sun is shining and it is warm again. Just in time for the campers to pack up their soggy gear and head back home. We really needed that rain so there is something good that came of it. I think we got 5 to 6 inches of rain over the three day stretch.

The total cost per kWh is $0.16938. I have a flat customer connection fee and one cost per kWh. That's nuts.

The residential rate is getting ready to go up by 33% in August. to 8.8 cents per kwh. What this petition to the state doesn't actually address is that all the other charges will go up the same percentage (I'm going by past history, so maybe not). Apparently business rates can get adjusted every month. Looking at January 2022 expected rate/kwh, the residential rates will likely increase a huge amount also. This makes sense because a good percentage of NH's electricity is propane, and we all know where that price is headed

Seabrook Station Nuclear Power just got refueled and re-certified, didn't it ?
Pretty sure NH gets more than half of its power from it.

With Pilgrim Nuclear shut down in Massachusetts gets most of its electricity from natural gas.
Pilgrim couldn't compete with low nat gas prices, among other problems.

The Vermont nuclear plant in Vernon was shut down also. Now Burlington requiring new construction to have electric heat pumps only for heat! Can’t wait to see what happens

Back to work today after long weekend.

Built the face frame last night for a new cabinet that's going in the bathroom...kinda a last minute deal but should work out nice.

Weather is cooking today....high in the mid 90's with high humidity. Makes working in the shop not a lot of fun. I really should just get a window unit for out there.
