We got a load of oak and hickory sorted, re-split some of the hickory, loaded and delivered to a new customer this morning, they run a RV park. 0617210959.jpg

Went almost 2 wks without :saw: therapy...:hair:...I almost went more :wacky:than I already am... ...
Monday, my BIL was over to help us with the big post oak rounds. According to my log weight app, each 3' log was close to 2000 Lbs green, each 18" block was probably 700-800 lbs now. Used the MS461 and 28"bar for the work. 0628211115_HDR.jpg
We rolled a couple to the old splitter, then got smart... 0628211232.jpg
The old splitter hasn't been run since last year, about 4 pulls, she fired up.
Still getting the job done on big rounds... 0628211732.jpg
4 rounds made a ramp full of sections for the other splitter 0628211339.jpg
We got all that split and stacked...a good 1/3 cord 0628211825a.jpg
We then got 2 more logs/4 rounds broken down 0628211825.jpg
My hunny and I tackled these chunks Tuesday. In the process, I dropped a chunk on my pinkie finger, on the splitter foot. It's purple now, so glad it didn't land on the nail. 0629211606.jpg 0629211606a.jpg
Our customer picked up about 1/2 cord of the oak Wednesday. 13282.jpeg

We cut 4 3' logs/8 18" rounds. Got 2/3 cord of good wood, got some campfire and junk wood from the center, some dry rot there...
What is stacked in the rack came from the 2 logs/4 rounds

Good work Jeff. Nice to have the two splitters with one for vertical. Ive gotten those pinch injuries and they really smart. Of course i dont feel really smart when they happen. Couldve been worse.

You would think at 60 I would have learned by now to avoid the pinch points.
Some things ya gotta relearn. It's like deja vu all over again.:picard:

Mine are not from hydros just firewood making injuries in general. Worst was my stepson rolling a big oak round across the bed of the PU without looking and my right index finger was crushed. It was a cold December day to make matters worse. Several stitches and i was good (well almost) as new.

This is a crush between a block of wood stuck on the wedge and the knock off. They had to pin my thumb back on.

    Got our customer's 2nd load finished 0712211224_HDR.jpg
Tuesday morning I heard a big truck slow down and turn in above mom's house. My tree service man was bringing us another load. 0713211018_HDR.jpg
    0713211019.jpg
This is the 2nd load from the same tree Tuesday. 0713211210.jpg
He told me he had brought a couple loads the day before... 0713211020a.jpg
I think it's about 7-8 loads he has brought so far. 0713211210a.jpg
