Just ordered 5 bone prime rib... from the local butcher... The buddy is paying... Who am I to argue with the one footing the bill...
Just picked up 2 racks of beef short rips, 2 pork butts, 2 small whole chickens and 10 bacon wrapped jalapeños. Friend picked up 3 racks of pork ribs and who knows what else. Might as well just keep the smoker going all weekend! Going to be the best 4th of July ever!!
Quite well! And we got a small metric ton of the leftover pulled pork to bring home. MarkG (another Eng. coworker) and I will be smoking a brisket for the 4th at his house- guests will arrive around the usual din-din time. Then farworks.
Salad, grilled meat (burgers or chicken breasts) and pasta salad. Smores and fireworks the night before while kiddos friend is here too.
Oh for sure on the 4th, but starting early for kiddos sleepover There's a campground on the other side of the lake we live by, the fireworks show from campers down there is fun, we'll tootle on over there like most 4ths.
HA!! Can't say if there won't be toots too, I have a can of baked beans ready too, but I meant too•tle too͞t′l ► intransitive verb To toot softly and repeatedly, as on a flute. intransitive verb To walk or drive in a leisurely manner; amble. n. The act or sound of tooting softly and repeatedly, as on a flute. More at Wordnik from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.
