Got into another nice oak

    Got to the next one in line today. Temps were in the lower 70's all day. Had to take advantage and get some wood cut.

    Black oak, red oak family. There s a scarlet oak 40 yards away that is next.

    I see you quartered them, I bet those rounds were pretty heavy.

    The base was really wormy and punky. Which is why it came down, I just left it. The pine was rotten, I gave it a shot.

    Very nice load,I like those mid sized oak rounds. Not to big to work with, make really nice splits and not too many branches!

    Yes sir, I know that oak takes extra drying time but it's just fun to work with and you can split a pile in a hurry.
