Loon , will he play or is he hurt? With a spot in the Stanley Cup Final on the line, the Tampa Bay Lightning could be without star forward Nikita Kucherov for Friday's do-or-die Game 7 against the New York Islanders. Bolts head coach Jon Cooper said Friday morning that he's "not sure" if Kucherov will play Game 7 after suffering an injury in Game 6, according to team reporter Bryan Burns. Kucherov suffered an undisclosed injury in the first period of Game 6. He was cross-checked by Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield and continued his shift before eventually skating off in pain. The 28-year-old has been one of Tampa's best players this postseason, scoring five goals to go along with 22 assists in 17 games. If he can't play Game 7, it'll be a massive blow for the defending champions as they look to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the second consecutive season. Whichever team wins Friday's contest will play the Montreal Canadiens in the final series of the postseason. Here's your buck.
Wait a minute, I am pretty far removed from hockey but I vaguely remember Hartford losing a team & didn’t Winnipeg lose a team BUT Vegas has a hockey team ???
Hartford lost its team and never got it back, Winnipeg lost their team but got it back from Atlanta and Vegas got a team in 2017 when the NHL expanded and starting with the draft this July the Seattle Kraken will have a team.
I looked it up, I vaguely remember Minnesota losing the North Stars & still occasionally here folks talk about the Kansas City Scouts. KC was/still is trying to get an NHL team. KC also lost the Kings to Sacramento in the NBA.
They should give Quebec their team back after losing it to Colorado. They had some loyal fans and a good rivalry with Montreal. Quebec Nordiques - Wikipedia
Loon , we can call this the Celine Dion jinx until Vegas beats Montreal in the playoffs next time they meet. Why Celine Dion is in the middle of a feud between the Canadiens and Golden Knights
This is from a twitter site, we'll see if he takes warmups and starts the game. Just saw a glimpse of the projected lineups tonight that has Nikita Kucherov listed at top line RW (so he at least appears to be taking warmup) with Cernak also listed on the second D pair alongside McDonagh with Schenn also listed, so looks as if at least 1 will play if not both
