We replaced our toploader washer and am planning to scrap it, but I was going to take out the tub to use as a burn pit. Well, just took a real close look when I starter tearing it down-- tub is made out of plastic!!! Some guys have all the luck...

The manual said not to add gasoline, turns out it wasn't necessary.

Smoker looks a little smoky, looks like the food will have a little funny taste to it

It all went straight up, so the smell was very localised.

I've seen a lot of strange things in my day, but until today the only appliance I've seen burning was a toaster, and I threw that out the slider door into the backyard.

Thanks for the laugh.

Dang! I hate to be Mr. Downer in this thread Adam, but burning plastic and rubber is really, really nasty. The dioxins released are the most toxic carcinogens known to science. Stuff like that needs to be burned in an industrial incinerator that reaches temps high enough to break them down. Plus,.......I think you may have voided your warranty. ;)

Yeah, once it took off there was no putting it out. Water made it worse.

Yeah, once stuff like that gets going about all you can do is suffocate it with sand, dirt etc... that's what makes it so hard to put out those big tire fires when they get going. Just have to evacuate the down wind areas and let 'em run their course.
