We just went north of here by about 4 miles for some ice cream, they must've had some hard rains earlier with lots of water sitting on sand.
Look like the current line of storms has mostly moved into NH. Just heard the first thunder a couple minutes ago. Due to the mountain terrain the severe stuff may miss me however I hope we at least get some rain.
Had some pretty strong winds when front rolled through, followed by some heavy rain for 20 minutes or so. Heard some cracking in the woods. Thought for sure one of the kentucky coffee trees was gonna go.
Where I work we have a staff meteorology department. Got word this afternoon that there’s a descent chance for a record breaking high temperature heat wave the end of next week in New England. It’s going to start in the PNW and build moving eastward.
more than you know. I stopped at HD on the way home for another AC unit to replace the one that did a Triple Lindey out the bedroom window, through the flowering cherry and off the barberry
Drove I87 from border to Albany and back You can see were several areas had big storms. And somebody around exit 25 should be a member of this site somewhere around 20 cord stacked
We had lots of wind and 1”+ hail last evening. Two sides of my house had the paint beat right off of them. Hoping for a new roof if I have a claim I guess. Hot tub cover is ruined too. Good news is I think my wood piles are OK !
Tonight they're calling for just over half an inch of rain for our area on Saturday but I'm sure that will change.
current forecast if a few tenths starting late afternoon. I can deal with that. We are starting @ 6 and should be wrapping up by then.
I see they have us getting just under one inch of rain on Saturday from todays forecast. If that forecast holds or we get even more, I can get a nice fire going in the outside fireplace and get rid of some Pine.
