    Good work and keep going!!
I had really good luck with keto or cyclical keto (eat carbs once a week). Dave Aspry and the bulletproof diet really work.

You sure you don't want to just bite the bullet and take a loan out on your 401k to pay for a couple PT 1X deck boards?

I was at my local one this morning picking up a couple bags of concrete. I couldn’t stomach looking in the lumber section. Last week I came across an ad on Craigslist for free lumber and didn’t hesitate to check it out. Came home with a small pile of wood that I’ll be using towards building a small woodshed.

I almost got the siding done on the garage today. Then I ran out of wood.

Have to collect a few pallets before I can finish it. Hopefully that doesn't take too long.

I think Lumber prices are indeed on the way down. I would make the steps safe and agree with you to wait out the prices until they are either stable or in the range you are willing to pay.

Back home after a brief road trip. Baseball season is in the books except for a HS summer league.

Taking next week off to go heads down on the bathroom remodel.

This pic looks doctored up to me. If it isn't then I am sure he will need to be doctored up.
