    Right back at you!!

Was actually the 4th, but my in laws trumped us as it was their 50th on the 5th and they renewed their vows and had a big party that day.

Nice!! Interesting, my dad and his wife also got married on the same day we did too, but a year later.

It could. If this is what 2 years supply looks like, 3 is gonna be something else. I'm beginning to wonder about the feasibility of that.

It’s a foreign concept to me - that a wood pile could be offensive. There isn’t a house within 5 miles of me that doesn’t have stacks and stacks of firewood on the property.

I just walked out back and found an ant hill, and a chipmunk. It just be from your piles as I was reading this while walking?

Makes sense, it’s probably where all the ants and chipmunks in my yard came from.

It’s sounds like you are a nice guy and that being rude isn’t in your nature. That’s a good thing.
That said, I’d leave things as is for now, you are breaking no laws and this neighbor just has a stick in their rear end.
How long have you guys been neighbors? I suppose either way, you just continue to be civil and live your life. Being civil can include being appropriately firm with this neighbor when needed to secure your ability to legally do as you please on your property. Its difficult, but a balance of being nice but also nicely shutting this guy down is probably needed if he continues with this.
I can imagine your stress with this. Keep in mind that you’re probably 1 out of 20 people this guy is tied up with being a pain in the azz to currently. He may literally not have the stamina to keep up with it all! Lol!
At the end of the day, realize that you’re doing nothing wrong and that this neighbors misery does not have to become yours. I wish you the best with ignoring him.

I hope there are no harsh limitations re storing firewood in your own yard as your neighbor sounds like he has entitlement issues amongst a possible few others as well.

Another thing you can do is rename your wifi network to something like, "myneighborisan@$$holewhocomplainsaboutfirewood".........they sure as heck will see it as will anyone who visits their house and tries to connect to a wifi network.

I guess we stand out then. Way out. I can't think of anyone within 5 miles who has more than a face cord in their yards. We have one guy down the hill who smokes up the valley with his smoke dragon, or wet wood, but no visible stacks of wood.
A former full time burner suggested that stacks of wood are beauty in the eye of the beholder.

Brings up lots of thoughts about how different we are from the standard neighborhood resident.

Ants and chipmunks by osmosis. As practical a concept as ants flying over his fence to populate his yard and not mine.

As an aside, two chipmunk bucket traps yielded 2 chipmunks yesterday.

How did you make out with the new neighbor Steve? I know you were concerned about your stacks when they moved in.

Luckily made out well.Nice people for sure. I’ve told him a few times to feel free to take some wood off the stack for a fire pit if he wants. Count my blessings on that one for sure!

Fill bucket half way with water, coat top of water with bird seed, enough to coat the top. Black oil sunflowerseeds float..
Then add a ramp or board across so they have access. I put mine right up against the wood pile, so they could see right in....
Reset the traps this morning....the seeds over 2 days, get waterlogged and sink.
The chipmunks, once they quit wiggling, also float.
