Got out behind the house for a half hour with the 400c and 500i yesterday. Overkill using these saws, but both ran great Mostly ironwood and some random maple hickory
Very nice there WNW! Never have scored ironwood. Your thoughts on the 400? First cutting? I actually underkilled (if there is such a thing) today with a saw. Used the 201T with 12" bar to finish a cut on some big oak i couldnt move yesterday. Only saw i had with me, but it worked...barely!
My immediate thoughts on the saw are great. Starts smooth, although they changed the choke position lever slightly. Cut hard and fast, not quite like the 500i, but understandably so. 18 inch bar is well balanced. I dropped a 12 to 16 inch ash tree and zero issues. Great saw! I need to get a few tanks through it to really comment! Now to sell the old 440!!!
