Love the smell of wood lol For some reason I pick it up in many places lol Like a buck in rut. I think I could track a white oak a mile. Don't know if any of yall dip suff or not but try this any way. Copenhagen winter green after getting a dip or just work your fingers in it and smell of them. Just like green white oak. love members of TFHC

Just a week ago I went into a neighbor's woods because I heard someone cutting and was not sure anyone should be in there. They were cutting up some tops of red oak (logs sold a couple years ago). As I went past them the scent of the sawdust hit me and it immediately flashed in my mind back when I worked in the sawmill. I used to (well, still do) every day enjoy the smell of sawdust.

Usually southern blend for me, every now and then it's a can of wintergreen. Now you go split some pin oak and that stuff smells like shat.

There is no way I could handle more firewood right now, but every time in mow the lawn I'm eyeballing how I'm gonna drop the two silver maples that are in bad shape in my yard. Also driving down the road if I see a dead or fallen tree I'm always thinking about what kind if wood it is, where I would stack it, how it would burn, ect. Then as realize I'm nuts, I have no time or room for more firewood right now. But a true hoarder never stops!

My wife and I were looking at the stacking area today, I said " we need another 4 cord."- She said " I'd like to see more. I don't know why but you're right, having all that wood gives me a feeling of security."
    Finally, she gets it. :)

Wow beetle Thats good My wife just give up lol as long as it ant in the fron yard. Last year I hauled in several loads of wood that had not been busted and the yard was way to wet to be runnin through so I stacked it at the road. A few days later yard still very wet but I fired up the buster and busted all of it and threw it into a big pile in the front yard. Oooo she was not happy when she seen that lol Wish Id took a picture. As the winter went on there was many days I was hauling up to 4 loads a day in. Trying to do it all early in the morning before the ground thawed. Long story short by the end of Feb the yard was tore all to h*ll lol but now it is all green and she is happy and I won't push it like that next year lol Even slid into a tree 1 day:axe::tree::saw::hair::mad::bug:
