We just received some rain about 1:15 (not much) and we didn't get any winds but that's fine with me. I made a trip north of here today too water the flowers in the cemetery, it was starting to darken up when I was leaving and I was thinking you might get whatever was coming into Massena NY.
Im a lil north of Plattsburgh 15 wet miles east But I brought a buddy to his vehicle at casino in upstate NY this morning.
Got a nice squall about 5:30 last night. Got pretty windy, not severe though, and 1/2" of rain in 15-20 minutes. Temp dove from 90 to 80 in that time, and the dark clouds and wind stuck around long enough for the temp to reach 73 with 70% humidity before the sun came back out.
A bit of a shower here. Dropped temps 15-20 degrees, but much more humid. More rain later....hopefully
Ouch. Humid /sticky nasty here, still waiting on rain and some temp and humidity relief. T-storms make runs at us all day but dry up before they get here.
We have had an incredible storm smashing us down under for the past 24 hours. The Melbourne news (video above) shows it better than I could possibly describe, needless to say the state's firewood supply will be increased, there are literally thousands of trees uprooted!
Wow, it hit a pretty densely populated area. Lots of massive trees right next to houses came down. How was it close to you? Looks like the firewood availability is unlimited. Scary the storm may loop back and hit again!
We didn't get it quite as bad as the Dandenong Ranges but it was still a mighty wild storm up here, we are about 2 hours drive west of the worst damage.
It's not severe but hopefully we stay in the yellow and red area, I'm hoping for some heavy rain hitting us around 11:15 tonight. Our local news station that is out of Watertown NY said that their area is behind bout six inches in rainfall this year, that should be pretty close in our area too.
