Normally, I would be out working on a project right now but, instead, I am sitting on the side porch, smoking some ribs and not doing a thing else. The only thing that could make this better would be a cigar but I don't have any at the moment.

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone. Much appreciated. Did a little visiting today with family and we are having a flatbread pizza, spinach artichoke dip and wings for a little supper treat.

Yesterday was spent inside doing some bathroom renovations, basement wall sealing and attic spray insulation. We got about 3" of rain since Friday.

Today was a down time day spending some time reading about Memorial day ceremonies and memorials to our great soldiers. We never take for granted what others have sacrificed for our freedoms.

Just spent 4 wonderful days at our cabin. My grandson can’t say Grampa Ole he calls me Bobo. Close enough.
My fam claims my camp fire wood is cut too long I don’t know what the heck they talking about. I scrounged it in the neighbors woods. I refuse to burn 3 year old oak in a camp fire.

 

More work getting done around the property while I’m on vacation. Weather has been awesome. I actually took a whole day off on Sunday and did nothing. Wife and I went for a ride up into Cranberry Lake area and spent the afternoon at a friend’s camp on the water. Very large pond that does not allow motor of any kind. Except electric trolling motors. Had a nice meal off the barbecue and did a lot of talking and laughing. Good times. Hope you hoarders are all enjoying the nicer weather.

Did some gardening, planted the tomatoes I bought, moved random stuff around, watered grass seed, trimmed a couple trees, grilled steaks and asparagus, and probably some other things that I forget right now. I want to install the doorbell cam that I picked up. We'll see.

 

Spent a bit of time doing some lawn mowing before going to friends for lunch. Enjoyed a game of pinochle before heading home.

Building more cabinets this week. One small vanity for half bath, and one double vanity for other part of bathroom (it's complicated). Got the face frames for both done, exposed side panel for small vanity done, and carcass for big cabinet done. Been Frankensteining the carcasses together out of whatever scraps in the shop...I refuse to pay $85 for a sheet of 3/4" ACX, especially when you won't see it.

Not a lot I can do on bathroom now...until I finish tearing everything out and start over with all new stuff.

 

11 Evergreen Ave in St.Lunaire-Griquet is for sale for 99,900 bucks (a little under 83K USD). Beautiful spot, I'd change the siding though.
