Well my truck load arrived a month ago. and I have been busy getting it cut up and split and stacked. The weather has been cool so the bugs haven't been to bad. How are the bugs were you guys and gals are?

Not that bad so far. Dont no if it being dry has anything to do with it.

Black flies are about. With a few days of rain ahead, the mosquitoes won't be far away.

I've got a small lot, so I run a line from the house and get an oscillating fan blowing when I'm at the wood pile.
The moving air seems to do a good job keeping my insect friends occupied in other areas of the yard.

Thats a good idea. I also have a large shop fan I could take outside. Be nice on hot days also.

I got bit by something on my right arm last weekend. It itched like crazy for several days and I still have a red spot the size of a quarter. No telling what kind of spiders are lurking in a wood pile. The ants normally tear me up in the summer. Bite me all over along my waistband. Mosquitoes don’t bother me, so I must have sour blood.

Black flies are here in Southern NH. Also an awful lot of ticks so far this year.

Not too bad. Only couple hot days. Been cooler and dry. No complaints here. Wanted to cut all weekend but rain has started and put a damper (pun intended) on my plans.

I do the same when sitting on the deck. Box or oscillating fan.

Its been cool enough that the skeeters etc., haven't been too bad.
I've been cutting pretty regularly the last 10 days.
Ive been in knee height trees...so not a single tick.
Hoping to have this score done by the time it gets really warm, and bug infested!

Almost non existent here with the bugs. We have to much wind here and it is pretty dry most of the time.

Thought I’d see something too. Hey, Shawn Lettre , let us know when we should come back…. Not seeing any wood here and if we can’t see it, it doesn’t exist…

Amazing we have not had skeeters yet but with all this rain I expect that to change very soon.

Black flies are out and about near the rockpile (I'm southwest of you). Just the usual annual nuisances this time of year (black flies, mosquitos, ticks, and tourists). The ticks this year however, are the worst I have ever seen.

Bugs aren't usually a problem here, unless you stir something up in the piles...
Knats can be annoying buzzing around your face and ears but they're harmless...

I like the idea of running a fan to keep the bugs chopped up.

I live in northern NH and it hasn't been bad yet. Ticks are bad but we check everything after we are done.
