Another Firewood Hoarder at heart. I now know where it comes from. This is my older brother David and his neat stacks of firewood! David's piles are neat and there is no sawdust or chips on this wood; when he takes it into the house there is no mess! Another stack under cover.His wood stove has been installed for roughly 20 years and there is not a hint of black soot at the top of his chimney. He has really mastered the art of being able to burn clean. Brother David and the Campinspecter and the load Woodwidow stacked into the canopy. She somehow escaped having her picture taken! David has given his nice dry wood to Granny!
On an unrelated question, is that a grease pit I see in your car port? If so, you are one lucky son of a gun!

July has been for us a very pleasant month lots of early morning fog , but very nice afternoons and evenings . With this ridge of high pressure over us what has July been like for your area ?
Bet you 2 can relate... some of my fav flying was low over the valleys full of fog. Could come around and see your wake in the fog, just like a boat on water. With a powerchute (@ 26 mph), I can remember one morning I had my feet down in the fog (could hardly see em) but clear above that "tabletop" of fog. The wake was very cool...

Granny is one lucky lady to have you watching out for her. Your truck is the same age as mine. Runs like a top. I have put very few miles on it. The pictures of you area are outstanding. All I see from my house are trees, but I like that better than seeing other homes or people. Living out of the mainstream is good for me. (and everyone else!)
Now that would be a bit scary in a powered parachute! Unless it was just a light layer of fog. Of course the FAA might not like it.
Actually, it was awesome. Quite an experience that could/would only happen in a PPC. Fog was as thick as soup and the "top" was about 300' AGL. Totally clear blue sky above. 7 AM. Unlike a fixed wing, a PPC (though not cool to be playing in clouds, or legal) has no issue if you got into total white out, as far as keeping the aircraft flying straight and level (it does that with no pilot input)... as for not hitting something in that soup... well, shouldn't be in it in the first place... (For those who don't fly... airplanes have a nasty habit of flying upside down/sideways/straight down... after the pilot gets disoriented in clouds/fog with nothing to see that tells him which way is up, and no experience flying with instruments that could give him that info. John Kennedy Jr had this disorientation issue cause his airplane crash years ago, even with instruments. Ironically, he was also an avid PPC pilot)
