It almost always works!

After I clean up the pickup,it almost always rains, but, as I tell anyone who tries to kid me about it, I say, a clean rig is easier to keep clean, than a dirty one is to get clean! lol And true to form, it just started to rain in our part of the PNW. Oh yeah it’s coming down pretty good to! It’s just 3:45 am and it’s lookin goooooood for some good ole rain. But, by Friday, we’re looking at maybe 89 degrees, not good in a already challenged climate for this time of the year. Have a good one!

It’s almost bone dry here. They’re calling for some precip today, but not what we need. Hoping for some more the end of the week.

 

It’s getting dry here, maybe I should wash my truck? I worry about the farmers. At least it was dry enough to plant but now the seeds could use some water.

 

My truck hasn't had a bath in...well a long long time. It is a farm, wood, hunting etc etc truck. Perhaps I should wash it...we need rain bad bad bad. I've never seen it this dry this early.

 

Can only hope for that much. Fingers crossed but the temp is wayyyy down this morning. Feels good after our first official 90 degree day yesterday. It was 80 by about 9-930a.

 

It runs better after washing, but rides smoother and has more power after waxing

It’s still raining a little bit, forgot to mention, it’s got a set of aluminum wheels on it, I had 3 of 4 of them polished, bet that’s good for another 2 tenths of an inch!

 

Dangit, y'all are going to make me wash my truck AND pour the whole bottle of armorall on the dash....

 

Yes, that is a very good possibility! In early April, the truck got an inspection, oil change, new battery (old battery had a '12 sticker on it) and battery cable ends.. Ol girl didn't know what to do with herself....literally roared to life! I'm hesitant to change too many things for her in such a short period of time.....

 

My old girl, 01 3500 chevy is about rusted out.
But pop the hood and the 8.1 looks like new. I can't stand a dirty engine.
Would love to find a similar rust free southern one and swap out the drive train.

 

Been raining for the past 2 day’s, it really worked this time

 

I hope we get some rain soon, needing to be watering things in May is a bit unusual.

Raining in the PNW ? Doesn't the rain stop, sun come out just in time to watch the setting sun, then go back to wet making for 23 more hours ?

 

It's been very dry up here too Jack Straw , we could take a week of rain without any problems.

Because the NYS burn ban is off, people are burning big brush piles. Some areas they're burning in are nice and green so that shouldn't be a problem but the other places where they're burning has pine needles and dead wood allover.

 

Our green grass/veg is drying up. Ranges we burned in the spring that have new growth and no dead fuels (brown grass, leaves, pine needles etc) are catching on fire again just because the veg is getting so dry. I do not remember having this problem in May in 19 years. So be wary of the "green won't burn" concept.
