It's fiber reinforced. Have been told by 2 contractors that it will more than suit my needs.

That gra has to be spread and compacted. Jerry the guy that did the leveling has a compactor. So it is in the works. Just haven't gotten to that step yet.

If you've ever been on site when FR concrete is being demo'd, you wouldn't say that...WWF is MUCH tougher! (if it was installed properly)
FR and WWF really have 2 different purposes...my 1.5¢ on the matter...:)

You can always blur the faces in the pic editor if you've got a good pic with one or two faces in it.

Right...any reinforcement is for cracking...the FR is for the microcracking that happens as the 'crete cures, it really doesn't add much strength beyond those tiny tiny cracks...WWF will also do the same, and help keep things together when the larger cracks come (and they will come) so to me it is the superior product...unless you want to spring for both :makeitrain"
Like I said, I've demo'd both, and the 'crete with WWF is much more of a PITA to tear out...'crete with rebar in it is always fun too

one guarantee of concrete is it’s going to crack.
Proper reinforcement and saw cuts will hopefully keep the cracks where you want them.

IMHO, rebar on visits to centers is best. Most of the wire around here ends up too low in the slab to do much good. But wire is expensive and rebar is very expensive. Fiber is what it is. But use what you can.
We did two large parking lot projects at my school and the architect didn’t want to mess with bar due to cost. I walked him around a couple areas with bad cracking and shifting of existing slab work and asked how to get bar in it now to control future shifting...
Concrete guys weren’t happy with fighting bar in a 200yd pour, but that will last.

on a better note, your barn looks like it’s gonna be awesome Chaz , and keep the pictures coming Chazsbetterhalf ! Jealous over here

Yup, that is usually the issue...but if installed properly, is the superior product IME (unless installing rebar)

Thanks for the pictures. I really enjoy watching a new building go up. Around here, the Amish use a horse and buggy to go about with their work.

Knew I was in trouble with all you enablers. It is lower than the other side but we can bring fill in. If we get the roof and post done we can go from there.

We see a lot of horse and buggies but the area they come from is about a half hour drive.

Been specing FR for the last few years...have almost never seen wwf installed properly, standing on it and pulling it up does not work.

Of course it is harder to demo concrete with wire...doesn't mean it is doing anything sitting in the bottom 1" or less of the slab.

I will stand by my statement that Fiber will be fine for your barn slab!
